Your user type determines your access to WRDS:
- Faculty: Faculty may request a WRDS account - choose Texas A&M University-Commerce from the list of institutions and choose "Faculty" as the account type. You will be emailed a username and password. Default expiration: 5 years; Accounts can be renewed.
- Class: Faculty may request accounts for use by students in a specific course. Access is for the term the course is taught and can accommodate up to 15 simultaneous users - choose Texas A&M University-Commerce from the list of institutions, choose "Class" as the account type, and include the faculty member's name. All students will have the same password and the password may not be shared outside the class. Default expiration: 1 semester.
- Ph.D. Student: Ph.D. students may request a WRDS masters account - choose Texas A&M University-Commerce from the list of institutions and choose "Ph.D.Student" as the account type. You will be emailed a username and password. Default expiration: 2 years.
- Graduate Students: Graduate students may request a WRDS masters account - choose Texas A&M University-Commerce from the list of institutions and choose "Masters" as the account type. You will be emailed a username and password. Note: no summer access, unless you are enrolled in a course and not working as an intern. Accounts are temporarily disabled during the extended break between semesters. Once the new semester begins, students will automatically be granted access to their accounts. Default expiration: 2 years.
- Research Assistant: Research Assistant accounts are available to graduate and undergraduate students performing research for a faculty member. A standing faculty member may have one Research Assistant account. Students may request the account - choose Texas A&M University-Commerce from the list of institutions, choose "Research Assistant" as the account type, and include the faculty supervisor information. The faculty member will be contacted for confirmation and you will be emailed a username and password. Default expiration: 1 year. Accounts can be renewed.
